[[PROFILE]] I play softball because i love the game. I enjoy every part of it, not just playing in the games. I love putting forth hours of effort, sweat, and hardwork to produce a result. I don't find practicing the little things tedious; doing one armed drills at hitting, blocking balls off the pitching machine, or working on throwing mechanics. It's knowing that when all the little things are put together improvements are made because of the hardwork you put into it. It doesn't matter who I'm playing with, whether i'm practicing or in a game I am just happy to be playing softball. It is the best feeling in the world to contribute to your team in a way that can alter the game. Knocking a double into the gap for a RBI or tagging out the would-be-tying-run at the plate is just a rush of adrenaline and excitement. When I step on the field nothing else matters but softball. Everything else melts away except the goal at hand. Softball teaches me how to live my life. It teaches sportsmanship, work ethic, and how you can only achieve what you put into things. Team is an a great part of softball. Your team is who you probably spend the most time with in the year. Hours of practice, weekend tournaments, breaks between games, downtime during travel tournaments is all spent with your team. The friendships you form with your teammates can last a long time. You are brought together by the game. You have to trust your teammates on the field. You have to have confidence in your team to do their part so you have no fear in playing your game.
